VicWater Annual Sustainability Seminar
VicWater’s Annual Sustainability Seminar, now in its 10th year, is to be held on Thursday 3 May 2012 at Etihad Stadium. This year’s theme ‘Balancing Sustainability Investment’ tackles the key issues around how investment in sustainability can be balanced against other priorities.
How do we do more with less, balance priorities and engage our customer and stakeholders in the sustainability debate? This year’s conference has a range of exciting presenters who will tackle these questions and offer their views from a political, strategic and technical perspective. Speakers include:
- John Langford, Melbourne University
- Ron Ben-David, Essential Services Commission
- Ben Keogh, Australian Carbon Traders
- Mike Waller, Living Melbourne, Living Victoria Ministerial Advisory Council
A session has also been included which will challenge traditional ways of thinking about sustainability, testing and expanding our thinking on what sustainability means for the water sector. It will be led by Marcus Barber, a renowned futurist whose skills have been utilised by Telstra, Victoria Police, VicUrban, Central Highlands Water and Fosters Australia, among many others.
The program and registration form can be downloaded from www.vicwater.org.au. Spaces are limited and registrations close on 24 April.
