Tilt Renewables awarded five-star rating
Australian-owned renewable energy company Tilt Renewables has received a five-star rating under the Commonwealth’s Renewable Energy Developer Rating Scheme (DRS).
The DRS assessed Tilt Renewables’ performance across seven criteria — community and engagement; character and ethics; capability and quality; conduct and safety; capacity and operational strength; financial viability; and treatment of contractors and supply chains.
“We’re excited to be one of the first renewable energy developers to be rated under the new National Developer Rating Scheme and proud to have been awarded five stars,” said Tilt Renewables CEO Anthony Fowler.
“The DRS involves a rigorous assessment designed to help local communities understand which companies they can trust to act responsibly and fairly.
“Importantly, the assessment drew on feedback from our landholders, neighbours, communities and First Nations partners. It reflects our commitment to acting in good faith, dealing fairly with people and delivering on our commitments.
“As a proudly Australian-owned company, we take seriously our responsibility to be a good neighbour and to share the benefits of our projects with the local communities where we operate.
“While we’re delighted to receive the highest possible rating, we aren’t resting on our laurels. Our commitment to ensuring all Australians benefit from the energy transition means continuing to work with communities to shape our projects, listen to concerns and minimise impacts wherever we can.”
