Tickets now on sale for Queensland Premier's Sustainability Awards dinner
The winners of the 2016 Premier’s Sustainability Awards will be announced at an awards presentation dinner at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on 17 November.
The event will feature visionary Queenslanders who are developing innovative products and sustainable practices that lower consumption of fossil fuels and reduce water, energy and waste while cutting greenhouse gas emissions. Nearly 150 nominations were received for the awards — with entrants including everyone from big companies to switched-on schools — indicating that the state’s enthusiasm for innovation, efficiency and sustainability is still running strong.
The awards night will feature drinks and canapés on arrival, a three-course dinner, beverages and live entertainment from six-piece band Hot Sauce. Early-bird tickets will be available until 20 October.
