NAWIC awards sustainable construction consultancy
The National Association of Women in Construction’s (NAWIC) WA branch recently held its excellence awards, celebrating the top achievements of women in construction.
This year’s awards recognised the growing emphasis on efficiency, waste management and recycling within the construction industry, with Jenny Campbell from independent environmental consultancy encycle consulting taking out one of the awards. encycle consulting provides environmental solutions to a range of organisations throughout Australia.

As director of the company, Campbell is dedicated to providing ongoing assistance to the commercial construction sector, with a vision to reduce waste and improve sustainability at all stages of a building’s life cycle. She was described by Steve Burnell from recycling company The Bin Guys as “a champion for the recycling industry in WA”.
“I love seeing how much more efficient the design and construction of new buildings in Perth is now compared to even say five or six years ago,” Campbell said. “Moving forward, I really want this to go even further and look at ways to ensure sustainability is at the forefront of construction and flows on to everyday households.
“The award means a lot me because it shows the increasing value of recycling to our economy and our environment.”
The NAWIC is a not-for-profit organisation formed in 1995 whose mission is to promote and improve the construction industry by the advancement of women within it
