Merger to create big waves in sustainability for Australian organisations

Monday, 17 December, 2012

Eco-Buy and Net Balance have merged, combining their sustainable supply chain and sustainable procurement advisory services to create Australia’s largest sustainable supply chain consulting group.

The coming together of the two specialist sustainability organisations presents significant opportunities to enhance positive impact and service delivery to Australian government and organisations through more effective management of supply chain risks and creation of opportunities for positive social and environmental impact.

The merger was finalised last week and follows a number of successful partnerships between the two organisations.

“This is an exciting new chapter for Eco-Buy and Net Balance - and what is most exciting about it is the impact we are together hoping to catalyse in using procurement and supply chains as a vehicle for efficiency, improved environmental and social outcomes, and significant value creation in local communities in Australia and abroad,” said Terence Jeyaretnam, Director of Net Balance.

The merger provides the opportunity to expand the Eco-Buy membership base, as well as offer new member services, drawing on Net Balance’s broader sustainability expertise in carbon accounting and environmental metrics, social impact measurement, stakeholder engagement, economics and policy analysis.
