Industry expert joins Acciona Agua Australian team
Acciona Agua has announced the appointment of Brian Nicholas as Director - Business Development in Australia.
With more than 30 years' experience in the water sector gained in both the public and private sectors in Australia and abroad, his previous roles have included commercial, operational, project management and development responsibilities. A chemist by qualification, he joins the company from United Utilities Australia where he was head of business development.
Acciona Agua's Director, José María Ortega, says the appointment of Nicholas reflects the serious intent of the company to actively pursue expansion in the Australian market. Acciona Agua is currently leading the consortium building the Port Stanvac desalination plant in South Australia.
