Fuji Xerox Australia has announced that its Sustainability Manager, Amanda Keogh, has been appointed as the Head of Sustainability for Fuji Xerox’s International Business Group, which manages 12 Fuji Xerox operating companies in the Asia-Pacific region outside Japan. Keogh will provide strategic direction and drive sustainability initiatives across all countries in the region in this newly created role.

Based in Sydney, Keogh will also manage the Sustainability Centre of Excellence in the APAC region, working closely with the International Business Group’s sustainability teams. The centre, based in Singapore, will set the sustainability strategy for the regional operating companies and provide support on environmental programs by sharing best practice models from around the world.

Speaking about the new position, Roger Pearce, Executive General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Fuji Xerox Australia, said, “A significant benefit of this role is that it will bring together customer insights and market intelligence in the APAC region to further drive ‘green’ solution initiatives such as our unique energy management software, Simegy. Amanda’s proven leadership, strong skill set and expertise make her an ideal candidate for this role and to lead Fuji Xerox on this journey.”

Keogh has previously chaired the board of the Forest Stewardship Council in Australia and worked with the Australian Information Industry Association and federal government on the e-waste regulations that came into effect late 2011. She joined Fuji Xerox Australia as environment and sustainability manager in 2007 and quickly brought recognition to the company for its advanced approach to sustainability, culminating in the winning of the prestigious Banksia award for large organisations in the category Leading in Sustainability in 2010.

Keogh has also been instrumental in the progressive evolution of Fuji Xerox Australia’s annual Sustainability Report which has won several awards, including the 2010 and 2011 ACCA Reporting Awards for best consumer and business services report.
