Establishment of the Product Stewardship Advisory Group
The Parliamentary Secretary for Sustainability and Urban Water has announced the establishment of the Product Stewardship Advisory Group. The group will provide independent advice to the government on products the Minister may wish to list for consideration for some form of regulation or accreditation under the Product Stewardship Act 2011.
The chair of the group is Kathleen Mackie, a former senior executive in the public sector with extensive experience in environment policy reform and implementation.

- Rebecca Brown, Waste and Recycling Manager, Western Australian Local Government Association
- Dr Peter Burn, Director of Public Policy, Australian Industry Group
- Philip Casey, Research Program Leader, CSIRO Materials Science and Engineering
- John Gertsakis, Chief Sustainability Officer, Infoactiv Group
- Karen Gomez, Chief Executive Officer, AgStewardship Australia
- Russ Martin, President, Global Product Stewardship Council
- Rose Read, Manager, Mobile Phone Recycling, Australian Mobile Telecommunications Association
- Val Southam, Chief Executive Officer, Waste Management Association of Australia
