Eco Expo Asia 2014 announced
Eco Expo Asia, Asia’s annual exhibition for green-tech business solutions, will return this year at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong from 29 October-1 November.
The annual show is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, with co-organisation by the Environment Bureau of the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR). The 2014 edition will focus on the latest green-tech solutions and products for all parties concerned with reaching a greener future across Asia, highlighting themes such as waste management and recycling, green building, energy efficiency and eco-friendly products.
“Eco Expo Asia provides not only a first-class selection of green solutions, but also offers a series of engaging forums and seminars with leading experts,” said Wong Kam-sing, Secretary for the Environment of the Government of HKSAR. “It is an exceptional industry platform which promotes dialogue and idea exchange among international enterprises, government officials, buyers and people who care about the environment.”
Countries, regions and business associations such as Germany, Japan, Russia, Switzerland, Taiwan, the UK and the Green Technology Consortium are all currently in the process of compiling their respective pavilions for the 2014 event. MOBA Mobile Automation, a leading company in waste collection and management from Germany, has once again confirmed its participation at the show.
Governments and policymakers across Asia are currently encouraging the rapid development of green buildings, while environmental protection is one of the Chinese mainland’s key development focuses and waste management is one of the biggest environmental issues in Hong Kong. Eco Expo Asia 2014 thus aims to offer green solutions to companies and individuals from Asia and worldwide.
