Consult Australia Awards — winners announced

Held at ICC Sydney in March, the Consult Australia Awards recognised excellence across 14 categories, showcasing the ingenuity and dedication of firms delivering complex infrastructure and design projects.

Consult Australia Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Cartledge said, “Every day, Australia’s engineers, designers and consultants tackle immense challenges, from urban congestion to climate resilience. These awards celebrate people pushing boundaries by introducing leading-edge solutions, strengthening partnerships and delivering projects with lasting impact.”

Winners of the awards included:

  • Consult Australia President’s Award and Champions of Change – Diversity & Inclusion Award: Aurecon CEO William Cox, for spearheading workplace inclusivity initiatives, increasing gender equity and First Nations employment.
  • Future Leader Award: GHD’s Natalie Ambroso, for her leadership in the defence sector, mentoring emerging engineers and embedding sustainability into critical projects.
  • Small Firm of the Year: Infrastructure Design & Innovation, which played a crucial role in the Callide Power Station C4 rebuild.
  • Medium Firm of the Year: Tonkin, for its work on the Flinders Chase Visitor Centre on Kangaroo Island, showcasing sustainable and bushfire-resilient design.
  • Large Firm of the Year: Arup was acknowledged for its outstanding industry contributions, taking home awards for digital, collaboration and sustainability leadership.
