Community Project Grants closing soon
Applications for the 2015 Community Project Grants, provided by Darwin-based charity the Ethos Global Foundation (EGF), will close on 15 May.
Five grants of up to $5000 each are open to Australian organisations and groups endeavouring to deliver programs that empower communities, build resilience and drive positive social and sustainable development. Previous recipients of EGF funding include:
- The WiFi Story - a project to develop training tools for indigenous communities and homelands in Australia that have recently received access to Wi-Fi;
- The Kusamba Salt project - a sustainable livelihood development initiative in eastern Bali to encourage the preservation of traditional cultural practices and promote eco-tourism employment opportunities for salt workers;
- The Ecological Design Education (EDE) program - a four-week training course for members of the Orissa Nari Samaj (ONS) women’s group in India.
“Ethos Global is delighted to be able to offer these Community Project Grants, as they play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of important social and cultural initiatives,” said EGF Executive Director Renita Glencross.
“There are many inspirational groups and organisations that share the foundation’s vision and are actively contributing to society. Now is the time to apply for funding to help their initiatives flourish.”
