Australian Water Innovation Challenge now open

Wednesday, 25 March, 2015

The Australian Water Association (AWA) has partnered with YouNoodle, a global start-up competition platform and network of entrepreneurs, to launch the Australian Water Innovation Challenge.

Open to entrants from around the world, the competition is challenging both established companies and entrepreneurs to enter their most innovative water technology solutions. AWA CEO Jonathan McKeown said the association is “looking for ideas that could potentially transform the sustainability of communities and businesses, both in Australia and around the world”.

“We are looking for ideas that can transfer across industries, countries and applications,” McKeown said. “No idea is too big or too small.”

The winners will be awarded at Ozwater’15, to be held from 12-14 May at the Adelaide Convention Centre. Prizes include:

  • a full-page editorial in the AWA Water Journal;
  • a tailored B2B program to introduce their innovation to potential users;
  • an exhibition space at the AWA Innovation Forum 2016;
  • an entry into the Australia Water Awards 2016;
  • a promotional campaign across the Australian water sector and AWA’s 4500 members.

Entries are being accepted until 8 May 2015. For more information, visit www.younoodle.com/competitions/awa_water_innovation_challenge.
