2015 ATRAA Conference program released

Monday, 17 August, 2015

The 2015 ATRAA Conference will take place on the second day of All-Energy Australia (8 October), featuring a range of panel sessions across two streams. Hosted by the Clean Energy Council, the conference will provide free training for members of the solar industry.

The Technical Stream will focus on new technologies, battery storage issues and case studies from the Clean Energy Council Industry Award winners. Speakers will represent Ergon Energy, Exide Technologies, Ampetus Energy and the Australian Battery Recycling Initiative.

The Business Stream will meanwhile examine issues facing the industry — including panel integrity, warranty concerns and challenges facing commercial installs — with speakers from CSIRO, Q-Cells, RFI, SunWiz, Canadian Solar, Finlaysons, Bosch and Todae Solar. Representatives from the Clean Energy Council, Elecsafe Australia and the Clean Energy Regulator will also host a frequently asked questions session for members and solar installers.

“The ATRAA Conference will help solar installers, retailers and SME crowds become familiar with new technologies and products, and learn how they can leverage them more efficiently,” said Clean Energy Council CEO Kane Thornton. “Plus, All-Energy has free entry and continuous professional development (CPD) points for attendees along with a massive expo, a professional development day for solar installers and the ATRAA awards dinner.”

The ATRAA dinner will see the presentation of the Clean Energy Council solar design and installation awards, which opened nominations at the beginning of August. To enter the awards, visit http://www.solaraccreditation.com.au/awards.html.

The conference will be held as part of All-Energy Australia 2015, taking place from 7–8 October at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre. For more information on the event, visit http://www.all-energy.com.au/en/.
