Belkin Components Conserve Surge Protector with wireless remote

The energy-saving Conserve Surge Protector with wireless remote makes it simple to eliminate wasteful standby power, helping businesses reduce energy consumption, save on energy bills and lower overall impact on the environment.

Standby power is the electricity consumed by electronic appliances when not in use. Appliances such as the computer, LCD screen, multifunction printer or speakers do not completely turn off when the power button is pressed, instead they remain in standby mode, drawing a small amount of power even when not in use.

With an abundance of electronic appliances in an office, the combined effect of these silent power consumers can add up.

Conserve is equipped with eight surge-protected sockets, six of which are ‘switchable’ and two are ‘always-on’. Simply plug in up to six devices that can be switched off completely when in standby mode via the remote switch. The two ‘always-on’ sockets are suitable for devices that need to remain in standby, such as the ADSL modem, VoIP handset or NAS device.
