Dowin Industries Triac dimmable LED lamps

The Dowin Industries Triac dimmable LED lamps solve the refitting problem associated with LEDs connected to a Triac dimmer circuit (standard wall dimmers).

Dowin has developed a dimmable LED lamp using the latest LED drive technology. This allows the existing circuit to match with Dowin LED lighting, giving reliable dimming of the lights.

The dimmers are designed for resistive loads like halogen and incandescent bulbs. Previously, LEDs have been mismatched with standard dimmers to produce undesirable flicker, least satisfactory power factor performance and inadequate dimming. LED lighting has not been conducive to this circuit concept; however, the Dowin Dimmable LED lighting provides a solution.

The lamps work with standard Triac waveform to achieve smooth full-range dimming. The product can reduce energy use, is dimmable with the standard Triac dimmer control and is claimed to be able to increase LED operational life in excess of 25,000 h.

Features include: Triac signal decoding, and detector/decoder gives (100:1) full range dimming.
