Conference tracks pollution across Australia
The National Pollutant Inventory contains 10 years of data on the emission of pollutants from industrial and non-industrial sources across Australia. A data set of this size can be critical in supporting informed decision making processes at an environmental and economic level.
The National Pollutant Inventory (NPI) Conference will be held 22 - 23 May 2008 at the University House in Canberra.
Underpinning the 10 years of NPI data are various themes:
- Reporting and compliance - emission estimation and legal instruments;
- Driving cleaner production - what industry is doing to reduce emissions and waste;
- Using NPI data - who uses NPI data and for what purpose.
Speakers will present on these themes, drawing from an array of examples and real world case studies.
If you estimate, report, collect, or use NPI data, you are encouraged to present at the conference. There are a few available slots for 15 or 30 minute presentations still available.
