Unmaking Waste 2015
21 May, 2015 - 24 May, 2015
This conference invites participants to explore new approaches to reduce the speed, volume and impacts of ‘waste-ready’ global consumerism.
It will be organised around four themes:
- Engaging values and innovative practices
- Engaging communities through social innovation
- Ways, means and aesthetics of designing for re-use
- Redesigning urban systems for low-carbon living
The conference will include an exhibition on design for re-using waste materials and several workshops and roundtables, including an innovative workshop run by Angela Rutter of Common Cause Australia on ‘Engaging Values for Behaviour Change’. The conference keynote speaker is Professor Stuart Walker from Lancaster University.
