Schneider Electric Flair 23DM fault passage indicator and voltage relay

Friday, 08 November, 2013 | Supplied by: Clipsal - by Schneider Electric

Schneider Electric’s Flair 23DM is a fault passage indicator (FPI) and voltage relay which allows remote recording of current, voltage and fault detection in underground networks in real time. It is suitable for use at utilities, airports, universities and wind farms.

The DIN-mountable FPI is part of the company’s Flair range and features a Modbus communication port, allowing the FPI to be connected to another device with a master Modbus communication port for remote recording. It also provides operators with the option to remotely reset parts of the network.

The FPI is flush-mounted to Schneider Electric RM6, SM6, Premset, FBX and DVCAS switchgear and can work with other equipment when the FPI is installed in a wall-mountable enclosure with split core CTs.

The voltage relay can also be configured to show voltage presence or absence using the output from the VPIS-VO voltage sensor for fault confirmation and for automatic transfer schemes (ATS).
