First South Australian project declared eligible under the Carbon Farming Initiative

The Clean Energy Regulator has approved an alternative fuels diversion from landfill project under the Carbon Farming Initiative.

The Wingfield-SITA ResourceCo Alternative Fuels Diversion from Landfill Project utilises the methodology ‘Avoided Emissions from Diverting Legacy Waste from Landfill for Process Engineered Fuel Manufacture’ and is located in South Australia.

All projects that are declared eligible under the Act are published on the Register of Offsets Projects.
