Power station in Queensland
Located 40 km west of Dalby in Queensland’s Darling Downs, Origin Energy’s Darling Downs Power Station (DDPS) is a new gas-fired power station that will produce 630 MW of power when it commences operation in the first part of 2010.
When complete, the facility is expected to directly employ 25-30 staff. Innoflow was awarded the contract to supply and install the wastewater treatment at the staff amenities.

Two of Orenco’s AdvanTex AX20-FAP wastewater treatment systems have been installed to treat average effluent flows of 3000 L/day and peaks at almost twice that. The preassembled systems, constructed of fibreglass, PVC and polyethylene, are flexible and easy to install with limited supervision required.
Tested to revised AS/NZS1546:2008, the AdvanTex technology coupled with residual chlorination will produce treated effluent at a standard higher than Class B for irrigation of surrounding areas and trucking off site for other needs in the region.
All of the chlorination equipment and system controls are easily housed within a small shed adjacent to the main treatment plant.
