IBC chemical bund unit

The second-generation design of Ovivo’s single-piece IBC chemical bund unit is designed to hold industrial bulk containers (IBC) and prevent the spillage of hazardous chemicals including most Corrosive Class 8 and Corrosive Class 2 oxidising chemicals in the event of leakage.

Australian standards require a specific containment volume and certain spray angles for bunds which make traditional concrete bunds expensive and difficult to make. The new design has been improved by increasing the storage volume to cope with a 110% of 1200 L IBC, rather than just a 1000 L IBC. The flanges around the edges have been modified to produce cleaner, flatter walls, which adds strength to the bund unit and also makes manufacturing easier. The size of the IBC location rails has also been increased to cater for all IBC sizes, including the narrower 1000 mm wide units.

The drain valve has been recessed to reduce the footprint size, eliminate trip hazards and enable factory fitting with no risk of damage during transport. The bund is available in fibreglass or stainless steel.
