Tung Nguyen to lead water and wastewater treatment for Arup

Tung Nguyen has joined consulting company Arup as its Australasia process leader, a role in which he will lead the company’s work with water and wastewater treatment facilities in the region.

Nguyen has over 23 years’ experience in the water industry, including significant roles on the Victorian and Perth desalination plants. His water and wastewater experience has covered over a wide range of industries, including seawater desalination, ultrapure water for the semiconductor industry and power plants, mining and mineral processing, and municipal and industrial.

He joins a team with extensive experience working with Australian authorities on water-sensitive design, policy and strategy, including on the award-winning Yarra Park Water Recycled Facility. Arup also has international experience on projects including the world’s largest sludge treatment works in Hong Kong and a strategic partnership with Yorkshire Water on a novel approach to the re-use of existing assets.
