Ecotech has won the Small to Medium Manufacturers award in the Governor of Victoria Export Awards. The award was presented by the Minister for Manufacturing & Export, André Haermeyer, and the Governor of Victoria, Professor David de Kretser AC.

Ecotech designs, manufactures, supplies and maintains environmental monitoring technology, including ambient air quality monitoring systems, portable and fixed-site particulate sampling systems, source emissions monitoring systems and online gas analysers.

Speaking at the ceremony at Government House, Haermeyer said the 2006 Governor of Victoria Export Awards were an opportunity to publicly acknowledge, reward and congratulate local firms for outstanding achievements.

"Export is the key to our success in a fiercely competitive global economy, and it is not just for big corporations," Haermeyer said.

"These awards also recognise many small and medium-sized companies that are successfully taking their place on the world stage."
