Tuesday, 21 November, 2006

BP Solar has applauded the South Australian government's announcement of the introduction of Australia's first Feed-In Tariff policy and welcomed it as a breakthrough in recognising the value of solar PV in delivering peak emission-free power.

"We wish to congratulate the South Australian government for taking the lead and introducing a policy that recognises the contribution that solar PV can make towards meeting the state's demand for peak energy," Mark Twidell, regional director BP Solar Australasia said.

"This policy is one that has been adopted in over 30 countries worldwide and has proved to be instrumental in transforming markets, creating jobs and delivering greenhouse savings."
