Australia's awards for research into critical environmental sustainability issues, the Museum Eureka Prizes, have been launched for 2007.

This year has seen the introduction of two new awards:

  • The British Council Eureka Prize for Young Leaders in Environmental Issues and Climate Change is awarded to a young Australian aged between 21 and 30 for scientific or technological leadership in responding to the challenges that threaten our environment and our climate.
